During their drive along, Austin and Barry zero in on the fact that the original outer tie rod ends are often the first things to wear out, especially if you’re putting bigger wheels and tires on vehicles like Jeeps. They go into what comes in the box with the TTX™ outer tie rod ends for this vehicle, compared to the OE version. While the OE design is usually just a smooth tie rod end with plastic on the inside, the TTX™ version has a thicker hex-forged design. It comes with the upgraded TTX™ ball joint, which includes better boot technology, sintered bearings, Repel-Tek™ coating and even the hardware is grade-12 and coated to completely eliminate any chance of rust.
